Transport Links

As Canterbury is a bustling city with few free car parks, alternative transport could be recommended.

Travelling by Train

Canterbury East is a 5 minute walk from Augustine House and a 13 minute walk from the Sidney Cooper Gallery.

Canterbury West is a 6 minute walk from the Sidney Cooper Gallery and an 18 minute walk from Augustine House.

The Southeastern Trains website can provide more information on journeys and train plans.

Travelling by Bus

The Canterbury Bus station is a 5 minute walk from Augustine House and a 10 minute walk from the Sidney Cooper Gallery. Most buses in Canterbury stop here. Please use the Stagecoach website to best plan your journey.

Travelling by Bike

There are bike racks available at Augustine House, but unfortunately there are no cycling facilities at the Sidney Cooper Gallery.

Travelling by Car

There are no parking facilities immediately available at either location. Public transport, including the Park and Ride is recommended. However, if you must travel by car, places to park can be found but hourly parking fees can be expected.

Travelling by Park and Ride

There are several locations from which you can take the Park and Ride which will take you to Canterbury Bus Station.

New Dover Road – CT1 3EJ
Sturry Road – CT1 1AD
Wincheap, Ten Perch Road – CT1 3TY
