The Sidney Cooper Gallery is Canterbury’s premier contemporary art gallery. Exhibitions of work by University staff, students and local and national artists throughout the year are complemented by lively lectures and workshops encouraging the public to get hands-on with the creative process. The Sidney Cooper Gallery is located in the main street of Canterbury city centre, close to the Westgate Towers which enclose one of the original medieval gateways into the city.
